Automechanika Frankfurt 2026: Automotive Aftermarket Trade Fair Guide

All Posts

Automechanika Frankfurt is the world's largest and most prestigious automotive aftermarket trade fair. Held every two years in September in Frankfurt, this massive event will open its doors September 8–12, 2026. Turkey consistently stands out among leading countries at this fair with its strong automotive parts manufacturing.

What's at Automechanika?

The fair is organized in six main sections: Parts & Systems, Electronics & Systems, Accessories & Customizing, Repair & Maintenance, Car Wash & Care, and Connected Mobility. The electric vehicle ecosystem and digital automotive services will be prominent topics in 2026.

Turkey's Automotive Parts Strength

Turkey is one of the world's leading suppliers with over $3 billion in annual automotive parts exports. Brake systems, exhaust, seats and interior upholstery, filters, and shock absorbers are among the main exported products. Germany is one of the largest export markets for Turkish automotive parts; Automechanika offers an unparalleled platform for deepening this relationship.

Participation and Preparation

Automechanika applications typically begin 8–10 months before the fair date. Contact OSD (Automotive Industry Association) and relevant exporters' associations for national participation organization. Since you'll be exhibiting technical products, having English technical documentation ready is essential. Bring conformity certificates for your products (ECE, TÜV) for EU standards.

Practical Information for Frankfurt

Direct flights from Istanbul to Frankfurt take approximately 3.5 hours. Frankfurt Airport is directly connected to the fair center by S-Bahn (S8/S9); approximately 11 minutes. We strongly recommend booking Frankfurt hotels 5–6 months in advance as they fill up quickly during fair week.
